My mom was one of the first residents in this new facility. We have been very pleased with every aspect of the transition. The team competently and efficiently processed all the paperwork and intake documents. I was impressed with the depth of questioning about my mom’s history and needs, both physical and emotional. The attention to her cognitive and health needs has been remarkable. Most importantly, they have gotten to know and appreciate my mom as an individual and have been fostering her gifts and talents and encouraging her to share them. She is shown respect and offered a wide range of activities that have been great for her – she is more engaged with others than she has been in years.

The team at Artis has been wonderful throughout my mom’s stay. She remains happy, healthy and content! Moving her into Artis during the early stage of her cognitive decline allowed her to quickly make friends and socialize—much more than she was doing while living in her home. The community layout was one of the key decision factors in our family selecting Artis. Its single floor allows for walking and easily spending time outside. And Mom loves the intimate neighborhood concept with lovely dining and living room amenities. We would highly recommend Artis!

The best choice for Mom.
I toured several places before choosing Artis Senior Living of South Hills. They had many features that fit my mom’s lifestyle as she knew it, such as getting her hands dirty with gardening and baking. Since my mom has been there, she has enjoyed the landscape and walks every day. She is engaging in the activities and is never discouraged by associates when she offers to help. She is eating and keeping hydrated, which was a concern before she moved in. The associates are always pleasant and kind to the residents and guests. A bonus for the residents is all the rooms are private with their own bathroom. The community is clean, and the food is “really good,” as my mom says. A memory community can be costly, but Artis is very reasonable and offers the comfort of knowing my mom is well taken care of and safe.
